1. How much does it cost to bind a book? Without knowing anything about the book(s) in question it is impossible for us to give estimates. If you contact us via e-mail or by phone/fax with details about your book(s) we will be able to give you an estimate.

2. What information does Campbell-Logan need to give accurate estimates? The information we need for giving accurate estimates is the following: - quantity of books - book size - desired cover material [example: cloth, leather, paper] - preferred method of page attachment, if any [example: sew through fold, perfect bind, oversew, double fan adhesive bind, etc. - has the book already been bound before? - if it has been bound before what condition is the book in?

Specifically: - what is the age of the book? - are the pages falling out? - is the cover in one, two or three pieces? - is the cover attached to the book? - would we be making a new cover or repairing the original?

Specifically: - spine stamping only? - front cover stamping only? - both cover and spine? - are graphics or logos going to be stamped?

3. What kind of binding is Campbell-Logan capable of doing? - Small run edition binding - Periodical binding - Restoration/repair - Small run Perfect Binding - Thesis Binding - Custom boxes/portfolios - Menus - Photo albums/memory books -

4. How quickly can I get a book bound? Our normal turn around time is 30 days. However, on a rush basis one book may be able to be bound in as little as three days depending on materials. With rush service the options are limited to speed up production. The choice of cover material is greatly reduced along with a reduction of the titling/stamping options.

5. Can I send you documents in electronic format? No, Campbell-Logan does not do any printing. We need hard copies to bind. A disk or other electronic formatting is no good to us.

6. Can you put pictures on the cover? Photos - The only way we have to put photos on a cover is to actually glue/mount the photo itself to the cover. If this is done we can possibly stamp a pannel into the cover into which the photo fits. Illustrations - There are two options for illustrations. The first is as above with photographs, mounting them directly to the cover. The second method would be to have a paper cover lamintated and we could use that to wrap around boards rather than cloth. Line Art or Logos - Line art and logos can be foil stamped onto covers by having a stamping die made.
